Help SII Graduate Fork in the Road Market Fund Their Kickstarter

SII graduate Fork in the Road (FITR), a social enterprise formed to expand access to healthful, affordable foods in urban food deserts, recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to purchase their first truck. They’ve already piloted the concept with local partners, to great success, but going mobile will expand their reach across Portland.

FITR aims to address barriers to healthy eating from lack of transportation, limited mobility, financial and time constraints. By creating a mobile market that will offer low-cost and food stamp-approved nutritious foods, meal kits, and healthy recipes, FITR will reach those most in need wherever they live.

To learn more about FITR’s innovative model, read our earlier blog profile or visit their website. To jump-start a local social enterprise helping your friends and neighbors access fresh, healthful foods, help fund FITR’s Kickstarter.
